Giveaway Consent Form

    Parent and/or Legal Guardian, please review this Parental Consent Form and the official contest rules located below carefully. If you agree that your child may participate in the giveaways and/or contests persuant to the official giveaway/contest rules and the terms of this consent form, then please complete and sign the form below.
    By uploading a copy of your signature, I agree:
    1. I am the parent and/or legal guardian of the child named above;
    2. I have read and I understand the Official Giveaway/Contest Rules and I understand that my child and myself are bound by those rules and that I am bound by the terms of this Parental Consent;
    3. I confirm that we live in a state/country where my child at his or her current age is legally allowed to participate in contests/giveaways with parental consent;
    4. My child may participate in the Giveaway/Contest described in the rules and
      accept the prizes awarded to winners;
    5. I understand my child’s first name and state/country of residence will be posted together with my child’s
      entry into the Giveaway/Contest on www.desert-books.com;
    6. If my child is selected as a Giveaway/Contest recipient, all instructions for retrieval of prize will be sent to the registered email. All e-prizes such as gift certificates and e-gift cards will be sent within the email.

    I understand the conditions listed above and give my consent for my child to
    participate in the Giveaways/Contests on www.desert-books.com and I give my
    consent to provide the necessary information to enter and receive the items in the
    Giveaways/Contests.

Oasian Insider Monthly Giveaway Rules

​​​No purchase necessary. Click here to view this month's giveaway.  As Desert grows, so will the size of the giveaways.  Increase your chances to win with the following: 
  • Gain 1 entry by subscribing to our newsletter.  Subscribe here, or down below as you register for the contest. 
  • Gain 2 additional entry per posted AD.  Example: If you send us a screenshot of a desert AD posted on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, submit three screenshots of the postings, and gain 6 additional entries.
  • Gain 2 additional entries per referral. Example:  If 7 people sign up for our newsletter thanks to your referral, you gain 14 entries into our giveaway.
  • Gain 5 additional entries per posted Review* Example: If you send us a screenshot about your reviews of Desert 1 ebook on Google Books, Bowker, and Goodreads you would gain 15 entries.   Remember, posting a review on a retailer's website only counts if you follow the rules established by that retailer. 

Any entry you gain stays in the pot for future giveaways. There is a maximum of one win per year per person.   The participant with the most entries at the end of the Desert Series Promotions will automatically win the Final Giveaway.  

* All snapshots must be of your own review or social media posting. Any fraudulent entries will invalidate not just that entry but will cancel out any further participation in any future giveaways. 

Desert Contest Rules

All contests will be announced in our monthly newsletter. They will include:
  • artistic renditions of characters or scenes from Desert
  • Desert AD designs
  • comments within discussions announced and launched from our newsletter
  • Persuasive speeches submitted for debates on various topics, also announced from our newsletter.
Current contests and their prize can be found here. All participants must register to participate prior to submitting their entry. Any under the age of 18 must have parental consent before participating. Winners will be selected by Angie Tebbs.

Instructions for retrieving the prize will be sent to the registered email. All winners will be announced in the next month's newsletter. Photos/avatars of winners may be submitted to be included in the newsletter, and for placement in our hall of Insiders.
