Belief is private. Place all the restrictions in the world on someone, and it still can't change what they believe. Only they can do that.
Belief can also do incredible good or incredible harm. My belief that food didn't matter when it came to health led to years of health problems for me. Once I started to believe nutrition matters, I started on a journey to a healthier me.
If you go online, you can article after article arguing opposite sides of a belief. They can go from unimportant, like the correct way to draw an x, to very important, like what's the point of life, and what matters most in life.
